The Colors Mean Something
By Theresa Wollan, M.D.
On January 1, 2008, East Metro Family Physicians and MinnHealth Family Physicians clinics merged to form a new organization you now know as Family HeallhServices Minnesota. This organization of clinics is made up of your same neighborhood clinics that have been caring for you and your family for many years.
In celebration of the merger, several of the physicians and staff wanted to create a new identifiable logo that would symbolize both sets of clinics coming together, each with their strengths and unique personality of your neighborhood clinic.
As a result, a logo contest was initiated in our clinics. Staff, physicians, other providers, and a few graphic artists were asked to create a logo that would symbolize Family HealthServices and submit them for judging. A group of four physicians sorted through the 50+ entries and narrowed it down to 4 finalists from which the final winning logo was chosen. Truly, our new logo is one with great meaning and comes from the heart and soul of our organization.
The new logo is being unveiled at each of the clinics in the next few months and is found in our Spring 2009 newsletter. Look closer and gather in the meaning ...
The colors are the old colors of the parent clinics you have known for years— royal blue from the East Metro clinics and hunter green from the MinnHealth clinics. Both colors have been lightened and freshened up and then had a "merged" color of teal added, signifying the merging of our clinics, staff and administrations. The chosen shapes represent you, your physician and your clinic
all joined together in partnership to create the best, most comprehensive healthcare for you and your family.
Our hope is that the new logo and its meaning are embraced by the patients, staff and physicians of Family Health Services Minnesota as we strive together to provide excellent healthcare for YOU.
